Before / After Lab started as a simple idea: the middle of a project is the part nobody remembers to document.
We're a small team of makers, renovators, and serial tinkerers who kept losing track of how far a project had actually come. Somewhere between "gutted the kitchen" and "finally painted the trim," the story of the transformation always got lost — so we built the tool we wished we had.
Our mission is simple: give every transformation — big or small — a proper visual record. Not a scattered camera roll, but a dedicated space where the before and the after sit side by side, exactly as they should.

Before / After Lab was designed from the ground up to work completely offline. This policy explains — in plain terms — exactly what that means for your data, your photos, and your privacy.
01 Information We Collect
We collect none. Before / After Lab does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, analytics identifiers, or any personal information at any point. There is no sign-up screen because there is no account.
02 How We Use Information
Since nothing is collected, nothing is used, analyzed, profiled, or sold. Your before and after photos, project notes, and dates are never read, scanned, or processed by us in any way — we simply have no access to them.
03 Data Storage
Every project, photo, stage, and note you create is stored locally in the app's storage on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or mirrored to a cloud server, because Before / After Lab doesn't operate any servers.
04 Third-Party Services
The app contains no analytics software development kits, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting trackers, and no embedded third-party services of any kind. Nothing running inside Before / After Lab communicates with the outside world.
05 Data Security
Because your project photos and notes never leave your device, they are never exposed to network interception, remote server breaches, or third-party mishandling. Your device's own security protections are your data's protections.
06 Children's Privacy
Before / After Lab does not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age. The app is safe for users of any age precisely because there is no data collection mechanism for it to affect.
07 Your Control
You are always in full control of your projects. There is no account to manage because there is no account to begin with. Deleting individual projects inside the app, or uninstalling the app entirely, permanently removes all associated photos and notes from your device.
08 Changes to This Policy
If this policy is ever updated — for example, to reflect a new feature — the revised version will be published within the app and on this page, along with a new effective date at the top of this section.
